Can I use a steam cleaner on my floor?
Steam cleaners have been popularised in the media as the miraculous way to get a floor sparkling clean. Here at www.gjpflooring.com we get hundreds of calls from our clients asking if they should incorporate steam cleaners in their floor maintenance routines. The short answer is NO. Steam cleaners work by using an incredibly high pressure to force steam onto a floor surface. The floor might look clean at first, but over time, the effects from constantly dampening your floor begin to build up.
Rather than a steam cleaner, we recommend vacuuming your floor as often as needed, and performing a thorough clean once each week. There are plenty of products that would do a thorough job of cleaning your specific type floor and at no damage whatsoever too.
